Kitchen Cabinets – Aren’t All Coatings the Same?

At Jazz Cabinets, we design and build cabinets that will stand the test of time. This includes our standard coating systems, which ensures your cabinetry’s finish continues to look beautiful for years to come.

We only use finishes that have been certified by the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association (KCMA), an independent industry benchmark to ensure that quality products are being incorporated into your investment.

There has recently been a large marketing campaign by companies offering painting services which claim that all the products they use are tested to and exceed KCMA standards. This testing is completed by in-house technicians and is not verified by independent analysts. These products are not KCMA certified and should be explored carefully. If the substrate is not prepped carefully and the wrong products applied, the finishes will not have the expected longevity and the ability to apply the correct coating system after the fact will be eliminated.
